Einzelbemerkungen: |
"The third group of writings translated into Latin comprises writings on astronomy and the philosophy of nature. Among these, a tract handed down under the title 'Liber de plantis' can be found in four manuscripts in Graz, Laon, London and Sevilla. It has to be admitted, however, that this tract was passed down either anonymously or under the alleged authorship of 'Moses Aegyptius'. We do not know any equivalent to the Latin text in an Arabic or Hebrew manuscript. Furthermore, in the examined Graz manuscript only one small passage speaks of errors of 'Moses Aegyptius' being rejected. To me, the ascription to Maimonides seems to be rather dubtful. Further research might shed light on this problem" [Hasselhoff (2002), 11]. Borgnet, XXIX, 156a); De vegetalibus l. 6, tr. 1, c. 8, § 33 (ed. Meyer/Jessen, Berlin 1867, 354); § 35 (S. 355); c. 28, § 157 (S. 418-419)]" [Rigo (2001), 30]. |
